4. Total Push-Mail Solution (Project-Based & ODC)

Customer:
This customer is a new virtual network service provider run by successful entrepreneurs. They intend to offer fast and neat mobile email services.

Requests:
The goal of client is to establish a private mobile email service system, supporting Push, and mainstream mailboxes. It also needs to realize email function, contact downloads, and server side may be deployed on Amazon cloud environment. They also requests to design special protocol, controlling data flow storage.

The Challenge

The complexity of project and high demand of customer throws several challenges at us:

• The schedule was tight. ArcherMind’s team needed to establish the first demo system within 3 months, helping clients to testify the business feasibility, and to complete the productized system within 9 months.
• The system needs large user groups to make sure the system can reach to performances.
• System needs to provide real-in-time service; any sudden black-out may trigger data loss.
• Development team was not familiar with Amazon cloud environment.
• Did we not only need to establish server side system, and we needed to finish equipment software development.

The Solution

The project was carried out on project-based model. ArcherMind’s development team adopts J2EE to be the major technical skill of server side development, and C language serves for equipment software development. The detailed solution is as follows:

• The system adopts C/S architecture.
• Server adopts J2EE technology, and Linux for server system, JBoss for application server and Apache for network server, My-SAQL for database.
• We deployed the server side of cluster environment, and established WEB server, business server and data base. The system may run services with grand level of scalability of stable and reliable operation.
• We also defined the streamlined protocol, and applied compression algorithm.
• We realized the IP Push function.
